Paint protection film (PPF) is a clear, durable, thermoplastic urethane film applied to a vehicle’s painted surfaces to act as a protective shield against physical damage from road debris, stone chips, scratches, bug splatters, and even UV rays. It functions as a sacrificial layer that absorbs impacts, preventing them from reaching the underlying paint. A key feature is its self-healing property, where minor scratches can disappear with exposure to heat, and it can be removed without damaging the original paint.
